Back when I was ten feet tall & bulletproof (aka, my early 20’s), knew everything, and had the common sense of a sack of rocks, I was walking the midway at a county fair when I came upon a display of AMSOIL products. The guys manning the booth told me about this new oil that was synthetic and made in a factory as opposed to being pumped out of the ground. They said this oil could last for 25,000 miles between changes and would make my engine run better and last longer. I’m thinking to myself; “The oil I use is the brand many NASCAR and top drag racers use. It’s got to be the best out there.” Looking for a way to end the conversation I asked how much it cost. They replied $6 a quart. Were they nuts? My oil ( the “best” out there) cost about 60 cents a quart ( dating myself here!). As I had just seen the dancing chicken and the sword swallower I figured this was just another attempt to remove dollars from my wallet and moved on.
Those were the early days of AMSOIL, and while the venue may have not been the best place for the message, the message itself was, and continues to be, spot on. Synthetic oil outperforms conventional oil. It’s taken awhile, but more and more research supports the fact. The latest comes from the AAA. You can read it here: AAA Spills the Truth on Oil Changes.
AMSOIL was the first company to bring synthetic oil to the market. While they are the pioneers in the field, AMSOIL continues to develop new products to meet the demands of today’s high-tech engines. As for me, I now know I never was ten feet tall & bulletproof, there are so many more things I don’t know now than back then, and hopefully, the years have given me some common sense. That last part has to be true. I use AMSOIL. To find out how you can get AMSOIL for your vehicles, visit the Amsoil Online Store. Great products, no dancing chickens.
